News for Today:
A Little
Although
TAU and
TANews are both still down, the undercover operation of
Encyclopedia and also fixed up some of the entries I imported from the Annihilated archive. I'm planning on adding some more after this newspost is over. I still haven't quite decided if I want to add images next to the names of units... It could get a bit hairy if I were to do that with third-party units. I think that if I do use images, it will be strictly for Cavedog units only. Look for more info about this in the TA: File Archive news section at a later date.

Some of the best news is that
TAU will be back this weekend someitme. A whoo hoo... I couldn't take too much more of the spam laden PA forums if I wanted to.
[EDIT: Seems things have cleaned up lately!]
The other news bit is a bit of personal info... I won't have a lot of time to fool around here starting July 1
st. I should still be able to manage a news post a day, and check the forums. I will keep everyone posted on when new stuff for the Encyclopedia Galactica comes out... One note on that, does anyone feel that the title for the Encyclopedia is a good one? I was thinking A Hitch-Hiker's Guide to the TA Galaxy... Comments? Other suggestions?
SourceForge.net
I've mentioned this place before but it stands to be said that
SourceForge deserves to be mentioned again. You can go there and pick up just about anything you could want for free. It is an open source community that has games, software apps, drivers, or anything your heart desires. Head on over there and check it out sometime!! I'm sure you'll be surprised to see they have thousands of different projects, and many more joining each day. If you have an idea, and know how to program, you could even apply!
News for Today:
A Little
It seems as though CARPA made it through the copywrite office. I didn't hear about this on the news so I didn't know about it. It really is unfortunate that multi-billion dollar companies are so insecure with themselves that they need to squash fledgling internet radio stations with junk like this. I'm really worried about the music industry not making an extra $50 million... that money is what keeps those high-paid execs fed and clothed. Without it, someone is liable to end up on the streets right? (Yeah sure!!)
This is a sad day, as the music industry is becoming ever more controlling over music they didn't even make.
That is about all the news I have for today, besides
TAU and
TANews still both being down. The only change in status is that TANews now has a forbidden notice in place of a database fault. Is this progress??
News for Today:
None
Not much in the way of news, certainly not in the way of TA news. Unfortunately, both
TAU and
TANews are still down, which means Encyclopedia progression has been around nil. Hopefully I will be able to enter around twenty or so entries tomorrow. Other then that, seems as though the site has become more stable... for now!! (Knock on wood). I know that my PHP site server has started turning down sign-ups for the service, which I think is great. Way too many people have signed up lately and have been slowing down the servers with all their illegal junk and such.
Not too many comments on here, hope more people do that, it's very, very easy, and I appreciate all of them!
